The 8D Association

About the Club

The 8D Association aims to promote the study and research of the railways of South Lancashire and North Cheshire in particular lines that lay within a ten-mile radius of the Widnes Motive Power Depot, to develop an archive of documents and photographs related to the lines and to undertake educational activities such as walks and talks.

• Number of local rail tours organised per year

Usually at Halton Stadium, Lowerhouse Lane, Widnes (Widnes Rugby Ground).

Print off the membership form from the Association’s website (address as above), complete it and post completed form to the ‘Lee Woods, 125 Pit Lane, Widnes, Cheshire, WA8 9HR’, paying membership fee as directed. Alternatively, go to the Association’s website and click ‘Contact Us’ where you’ll find an on-line enquiry form. Complete the form asking for membership information, and press ‘Submit’.
