Shropshire Railway Society

About the Club

The Shropshire Railway Society caters to all railway enthusiasts and those generally interested in railways.

The Society organises a programme of railway themed presentations during a season running from September to April. It covers a wide variety of railway subjects, presented by local and nationally acclaimed speakers.

Benefits of Membership

  • Intensive programme of ‘presentation style’ meetings on railway themes, held twice a month

  • Journal titled 'Magazine', issued every month

  • Programme of outings (two to three excursions per year)

Meeting Days

Usually on second and fourth Thursday of the month.

Meeting Venue

The Gateway Education and Arts Centre, Chester Street, Shrewsbury,  SY1 1NB.

Go to the Society’s website (address as above) and click into ‘Enquiries’. Fill in the on-line enquiry form asking as to membership, and press ‘Send the mail.’ Alternatively you can email the General Secretary (Rob Kinnersley) of the Society at requesting information.
