About the Society
The Great Eastern Railway was one of the 'big four' pre-1923 grouping railway companies.
The Great Eastern Railway Society is a historical railway society dedicated to the Great Eastern Railway (GER), its predecessors and successors. It aims to promote interest in the GER by encouraging and co-ordinating research into its history, and to provide a permanent record of its findings.
