Engine Shed Society

About the Club

 

The Engine Shed Society is the only organisation in the UK specialising in all aspects of engine sheds and related structures, historical and contemporary. 

​

The scope of the Society includes all places which are or have been used for the construction, maintenance or stabling of rail borne transport, including steam, diesel and electric depots (current and extinct), shed histories, locomotive allocations, stabling points, carriage and wagon works, coaling towers and other related structures.

​

  • Annual site visit (usually combined with AGM)
